Motivational speaker Melody Kanguru has added another motivational instrument into her toolkit.

The author and founder of “Hosting Heaven” — a blog that motivates women and helps mould their spiritual journey — began her baby-steps in the cut-throat music industry through the release of a single track titled “More Lord”.

The song encourages people to always exalt the Almighty.

It has an exciting accompanying video that aptly supports the message.

“This is a song by a hungry soul seeking to pour their heart to God. The world is currently faced with a crisis and it is now, more than ever, that we need to pray for God’s mercy,” opines Kanguru.

“This is my first song and it is mainly about spiritual reawakening. We may have encountered God many times before but in this predicament of the Covid-19, we need Him more.”

The single is a soul-searching track and is loaded with God’s reassuring message.

The 31-year-old South African-based artiste, who is also a qualified cost and management accountant, believes salvation begins with acknowledging God as the saviour.

The video accompanying the single, which was shot in Cape Town, South Africa, casts Kanguru as a successful woman who, however, loses everything after losing her connection with God.

“People often lose their link with the Creator after amassing wealth. I am highlighting how they are forced to go on their knees begging for a second chance. The song also speaks to the current Covid-19 crisis. We need to look at our ways and seek reconnection with God,” she said.

The track is available on platforms like YouTube, Deezer, Napster, Amazon ad Spotify, among others.

Kanguru grew up in Budiriro 4 but relocated to South Africa in 2008 to pursue a degree in accounting.

In 2010, she published her first book titled “Hosting Heaven”, which is an exhortation for humanity to establish a deep relationship with God.

She also became a motivational speaker and author to help those affected by drug and alcohol abuse.

“It was a way to help youths design a Christian lifestyle. But I never thought I would one day become a professional singer. I plan to release at least four songs by year-end.”
