Holders of a Class 2 driver’s licence can still drive Class 4 vehicles, the Government has clarified dispelling assertions that Class 2 holders cannot drive Class 4 vehicles.
The Government clarification follows unverified reports which went viral on social media claiming that holders of Class 2 driver’s licences could no longer drive small vehicles.
In a statement, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development said, ” Don’t let unverified claims cause panic.
“The Government has NOT announced any changes to the current driver’s licence classes — a Class 2 licence holder can still legally drive Class 4 vehicles.
“Members of the public are urged not to rely on unverified social media claims regarding Government policy. Always obtain information from official Government communication channels.”
