Government to upgrade Victoria Falls border post to ease congestion- VP Mohadi

VICE President Kembo Mohadi has assured the nation of Government’s commitment to transforming the Victoria Falls Border Post into a modern, efficient gateway, emphasising that urgent digital solutions are needed to ease congestion at the busy facility.

Accompanied by a delegation of senior ministers, Vice President Mohadi conducted a tour of the border on Friday morning.

The visit was aimed at assessing the impact of recent upgrades and the facility’s transition to a 24-hour operation, while also listening to the frontline staff responsible for manning one of the country’s busiest ports of entry.

Although acknowledging the strides made since the introduction of round-the-clock services, VP Mohadi noted that the surge in traffic, particularly the high volume of haulage trucks has placed immense strain on the existing infrastructure.
