Government undertakes rehabilitation of Hwange power units for increased generation capacity

THE Government is in the process of rehabilitating Hwange’s Units 1 to 6 for power generation refurbishment.

In a statement, the Ministry of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services said the total capacity is expected to be about 920 MW.

“Work on the projects, which will be done in phases, is expected to be completed by 2025,” reads the statement.
