economic and social commentator Mr Eric Bloch.
In a statement, Vice President John Landa Nkomo, said Government had learnt with “great shock and profound sorrow” of the death of Mrs Bloch. He said Mrs Bloch was involved in several developmental activities in the country.
He said her “untimely” death had left a “big void” in the nation.
“Apart from rendering massive support to her husband during his sterling professional work as a renowned business as well as a socio-economic and political commentator, Mrs Bloch was also involved in development activities.
“She, together with her husband and family was also strong in her church activities, which formed the basis of her life’s principles.
“This sad loss has indeed left a big void to the Bloch family, the communities she served with a great deal of commitment and passion, as well as the entire nation of Zimbabwe,” he said.
VP Nkomo said the Bloch family should find solace in that the nation was with them during “this dark patch in their lives”.
