The Ministry of Health and Child Care is this week conducting stakeholders’ consultative meetings to get input that will help in finalising a six-year Malaria Communication Strategy for the period 2021 to 2026.

Development partner, the World Health Organisation (WHO) Zimbabwe, is partnering Government in the initiative.

In a statement on Tuesday, WHO said the malaria communication strategy will be instrumental in facilitating interventions.

“This week in Mazowe, the Ministry of Health and Child Care with support from WHO is finalising the development of Zimbabwe’s Malaria Communication Strategy 2021-2026.

“The process commenced last week with a stakeholders’ consultative meeting to get appropriate input. Malaria communication strategy will be key in facilitating the uptake of malaria interventions outlined in the Malaria Strategic Plan 2021-2026, thanks to the Roll-Back Malaria generous funding,” reads part of the communique.
