GOVERNMENT has committed to providing state assistance to the injured Insimbi ZeZhwane band members as well as covering funerals for the two deceased band members – Elvis “Ma Eli” Mathe and Thembinkosi “Maviri” Mpofu.

This was said by the Minister of State Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Matabeleland North, Richard Moyo at Mpilo Central Hospital this morning.

Cde Moyo was accompanied by Tsholotsho North Member of Parliament and Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President, Cde Sibangumuzi Khumalo.

“We thank President Mnangagwa for being a listening President. After talking to him, he said the government will cover all medical and funeral costs. South African businessman Brilliant Ncube who owns a funeral parlour said he will chip in and assist as well. The families will not pay anything,” Cde Moyo said.
