Grabowski disputes former player’s claims

transfer wrangle between CAPS United and DT Africa United. The player said Grabowski had barred him from playing for the Under-20 team and once told him that “playing for the Young Warriors was like diving into a swimming pool without water.”
Bulaji took his case to Zifa Player’s Status Committee where he paid his fee of US$1 000 and also appealed to the Footballer’s Union of Zimbabwe for help.

However, Grabowski has denied the claims as he said that his club had a contract with the player and indicated that the player, who claims to be 20, is aged 22, making it impossible for him to play for the Under-20.

The former Warriors coach said some of the claims made by Bulaji were aimed at tarnishing his image.
“According to Africa United agreement with Bulaji he is 22 years old — how can a 22-year-old play for the Under-20?” Grabowski said in a statement.
“Please note that to play in national team is by request from national association and not willingness of the player.
“Please also note that Zimbabwe Under-20 is banned for three years by Caf,” said Grabowski.
