Grand Foods out to make a difference

Zimbabwe.

The company is located at 4 Douglas Road in Workington.
Barronsway Investments sales and marketing director Mr Martin Madzo said when the company started, their vision was to be the leading supplier of raw and processed foods products to manufacturers, retailers and consumers on the Zimbabwean and regional markets.

“We wanted to make a difference in the market by being a continual supplier of quality products, good customer satisfaction and innovative products and services, as consumers were being mistreated by inferior quality products.

“Today I am proud to say that our motivated team works hard to make sure we live up to our expectation every day”, Mr Madzo said.

Mr Madzo said he was happy with the clientele base and the  reputation his quality products has made.

These products include fine salt, coarse salt, kapenta, sugar beans, popcorn and soya chunks.
“In the pipeline, plans are underway to include rice, sugar and mealie meal. We offer a variety of packages for all products to meet customer’s needs. In addition to these products, small business units have been established within the company to cater for the food grade chemical manufactures that we import and distribute to our customers.

These include citric acid, potassium sorbate, whey powder, mono sodium glutamate, caustic soda, flavours as well as colourants,” Mr Madzo said.

The company has a quality control system in place that provides guidance and valuable insight into our quality control policies; the methods we use, their implementation, and constant observation and associated audits.

This has been the backbone of our success. All our products have the best quality and quantity.
Some organisations are in the habit of packing under weights and this is against good business ethics practices. In order to expedite the delivery process, the company runs a fleet of vehicles ranging from 2-tonne to 30-tonne trucks for diligent distribution of its products in around the country.

The 30-tonne haulage trucks are also available for hire throughout the Sadc region.
