Grandpa acquitted of rape

Ms Pise concluded that the State failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
The girl was also alleged to have been raped in 2006 by Tevera Moyo, but he was removed from remand after the State failed to prove its case.
Prosecutor Mr Mugaviri said in the case involving Mangi, the girl was staying with her maternal grandmother in 2008.
The woman used to send her to Mangi who was her boyfriend to collect some money.
On one of the days, the girl did not find Mangi at his place and decided to wait for him until he returned around 7pm. Upon his arrival, Mangi entered the house with the girl and he allegedly dragged her to the floor and raped her.
The girl reported the alleged rape to her mother who convinced the grandmother to file a police report against her boyfriend.
