A 74-year-old woman from Masukume Village under Chief Malisa in Silobela died after she slipped and fell into a 10-metre deep well while trying to fetch water.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko who confirmed the incident said the elderly woman was retrieved from the waters alive but died on her way to the hospital.
