ALICK Macheso’s fans had a memorable day on Friday night as the sungura superstar launched his 13th album at Alex Sports Club.
A number of musicians backed Macheso as they provided the supporting acts.
The musicials showered the sungura legend with praise for his hard work and professionalism.
The musicians included Feli Nandi, Enzo Ishall, Andy Muridzo, the Chill Spot family of DJ Fantan, Levels and Ribe.
All the musicians described Macheso as a living legend and one of the father figures in the musical industry.
The fans also agreed.
One of them told H-Metro:
“Haaaa Baba Shero vaita bass guitar ravo ngoma chaiyo ukuwo Baba Keketso vanodambura bass rembira dzavo zvekutodaro, Feli Nandi amutsa masvikiro nekurova ngoma.
“This is wonderful and commended as music heal souls, brings unity of purpose, refreshes the mind and entertainment.
“Every musician is showering praises on Alick Macheso and I want to believe that he feels honoured while he is still alive other than showering him with praises at the graveside.”
Macheso launched his 13th album and the initial reaction is that the superstar appears to have struck the right notes on this production.
The songs on the album are being released one at a time.
