The Great Zimbabwe Monument and National Archives of Zimbabwe are set for a face-lift after France pledged to upgrade the two facilities as the two countries continue to deepen their bilateral relations.

France Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Laurent Chevallier paid a courtesy call this afternoon at Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe’s offices where upgrading of the two sites were discussed.

Briefing journalists soon after the meeting, Minister Kazembe said the French embassy has pledged to upgrade facilities at Great Zimbabwe while digitalising the National Archives of Zimbabwe.

He said work on these two sites by France was part of a number of developmental projects that they have been collaborating on as part of enhancing bilateral relations.
