Gringo legacy lives on

THE late Lazarus ‘Gringo’ Boora, legacy will not die, at least according to his family and friends.

His son Taurai ‘Gringaldino’ Boora, has joined forces with Gweshe Gweshe, Mbudziyadhura, and Chati Butao, to revive the drama series ‘Gringo’.

The team has been spending a lot of their time shooting Gringo The Return.

The drama will be shown on YouTube, in partnership with Pwaaaka skits.

Speaking to H-Metro, Gringaldino said it’s not easy to follow into his late father’s giant footsteps.

He said the storyline will continue while they introduce new characters.

“The storyline will continue just that we are trying to keep his legacy alive. We have plenty to offer to those who loved my father.

“We are going to introduce new characters and concepts to bring back the memory of Gringo.

“We are not yet sure of the première, but for now the movie will air on YouTube.

“We are still organising for the drama to be aired on ZBC,” he said.

Gringo died on November 9, in 2020.

He made his name through the Gringo Ndiani series, Gringo Troublemaker and Yellow Card, among others.
