Zimbabwe’s entertainment industry has been plunged into mourning following the reported death of popular actor William Matenga, affectionately known as Gweshegweshe from the hit television drama series Gringo.
Matenga reportedly died at KG6 hospital in Harare, Saturday morning where he had been admitted after experiencing health complications.
A close source confirmed his death, revealing that the actor’s blood pressure had reportedly shot up while he was admitted.
Gweshegweshe became a household name through his memorable performances in Gringo, winning the hearts of viewers with his distinctive character and acting talent.
