‘Gringo Troublemaker’ not available on DVD

“We are not in a rush and we are not going to put the film on DVD anytime soon. Currently, we are negotiating with local and international television channels so that they will air the movie. The film will also be in the movie houses dotted across the country,” scriptwriter and producer, Enock Chihombori said.
Chihombori said his crew will also embark on road shows to make sure the film reaches all corners of the country. Chihombori was ecstatic about the success of the premiere and the response from the movie-goers.

“My father said all the other Gringo series we have done on TV do not compare in any way with this one. I had a lengthy chat with the guest of honour, Deputy Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture, Lazarus Dokora. He expressed his joy and asked about the challenges in the film industry.

“I just got a call from Elvas Mari (the director of the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe) and he encouraged us to take the film to all corners of Zimbabwe. He felt it would be a shame if it only ends in the cinemas because the majority of people who like Gringo cannot afford go to movie theatres. I am happy and relieved. It was not only about the story I wrote. It was about the actors, the picture quality as well as the sound quality. Yes, we fall short of expectations, but on this one we tried our best,” he said.
