Njune holds Magwegwe
Njube 1-1 Magwegwe. Njube held their own to salvage a point at home against Magwegwe. Magwegwe drew first blood through a spot-kick which was converted by Gahadza Ashley, the Magwegwe skipper before Joseph Ndlovu equalised five minutes from time.
Dube return inspires Cowdray park
Gcinithemba Dube’s return after a lengthy injury inspired his team Cowdray Park to a 2-1 victory over struggling Traffic. Cuthbert Kore scored the other goal while Marimo Moffat scored Traffic’s only goal.
Sauerspark win Suburban derby
Hillside were edged by Sauerspark 2-1 in a Western District derby, Benedict Jaure and Gabriel Mandityira scored for the away team while Samuel Dhlamini netted the Hillside goal.
Entumbane massacre Mzilikazi
Mzilikazi suffered their worst defeat, a 7-1 spanking by Entumbane, man of the match Mgcini Mpofu the former Hwange FC striker netted a quadruple, Bestian Mukono Jnr scored twice with Shumba Frank scoring the other goal to complete the massacre. Joseph Zimba scored the consolation goal from the spot.
Nyani stars as Pumula beat PHQ
Pumula showed no mercy for the Administrators when they beat them 6-2. Young Owen Nyoni scored a hattrick, the lanky defensive midfielder Clinton Muleya, Captain Witness Nyathi and Kumwara Tafadzwa scored a goal each. In response, Musawenkosi Ncube and Tarisai Musvoriwa were on target.
West Com lose again
Resilient Westcom’s wheels seem to be coming off as they yet again lost to Donnington 3-1 at their fortress Ndola Ground. Xolani Ncube scored a brace and Nomore Muradzikwa scored one.
Byo Central edge Detectives
CID lost 2-1 against Bulawayo Central in a match played at Crescent. Veteran Bhonomali Patrick and Professor Ndlovu scored Central’s two goals.
Nkulumane back to winning ways
It was a change of the venue and fortune for Nkulumane who finally tasted victory. They switched the venue to Nkulumane Library Ground from Phekiwe and registered a 2-1 victory against Khumalo. Ndumiso Ncube scored for the visitors while Blessing Chigarisano and Brian Sibanda scored the two important goals.
Luveve and Tshabalala draw
Luveve continued to grind results as they drew 1-1 with Tshabalala away from home. The Binga born diminutive midfielder Chahukura Simbarashe scored for Tshabalala while Liveson Chironda equalised.
Golden boot a two horse race
The crown for the top goal scorer is now a two-man race, Joseph Zimba of Mzilikazi was dislodged from the top by Mgcini Mpofu who by match day 23 has netted 22, a goal shy off Zimba, Pumula’s Owen Nyoni took his tally to 16.
Entumbane maintained their position at the apex of the log with 61, Central went two places up to second with 46, Sauerspark are now third on 44 , the same number of points as CID though with a better goal difference.
