Guardiola for City

LONDON. – Pep Guardiola is now in advanced talks with Manchester City about taking over from Manuel Pellegrini next season. Guardiola, who is out of contract with Bayern Munich at the end of the season, hasn’t signed an extension to his deal to stay on. He has led the German giants to two Bundesliga titles, the German Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup. With 14 trophies, including two Champions League crowns he won at Barcelona, he is the most successful coach in Europe.

Pellegrini, nearing the end of a three-year contract, has won only a Premier League and League Cup while in charge -helping convince City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak that Guardiola is the man he needs to take the club to the next level. — The Daily Express.
