AFTER dropping two points on Wednesday against Blue Swallows at Manyame, log leaders Gunners look to get back to their winning ways as they lock horns with DStv Rangers at Lafarge in the World Navi Northern Region Division One soccer league tomorrow. The former Premiership champions are three points clear at the top of the table and victory will reinforce their ambitions in their quest to make a return to the top-flight league.

However, Gunners have dropped four points in the past two games having been held to a goalless draw by Mushowani at Lafarge before Wednesday’s game against Swallows.
Gunners coach Kuda Masaraure is confident his side will rediscover their winning formula when they meet tricky DStv Rangers tomorrow.

“It’s a must-win game, we will try our best to win. If we win the game the boys will gain their confidence back because we have gone for two consecutive draws now.
“If we want the championship, we have to win and the guys know that if they want to play in the Premier league next year they have to collect maximum points on Saturday.
“Another advantage is that we are playing at home, it would have been difficult to come from a draw and play away from home. This is our home ground and the guys are used to it,’ said Masaraure.

The Gunners coach said they have come a long way and that, on its own, is a motivation that should see them through the remaining eight games.
“We have talked to the guys and they are responding well. Remember we started from the bottom and they know it happens in soccer but they don’t have to look down because we have come a long way,” Masaraure said.

He said they lost concentration in the last few minutes, which saw Blue Swallows equalising.
“We were supposed to win in the first half but we missed a number of chances. In the second half, Blue Swallows came back a better side.

“We were leading but the guys relaxed in the last five minutes and failed to mark inside the box,” said Masaraure.
Gunners have so far lost just one game out of the 26 they have played, winning 16 and managing nine draws.
