Gunpoint robbery sets Diliza back

Uhuru producer DJ Clapa��s harrowing ordeal at the hands of gun totting thieves has set back the release of his groupa��s album, as the robbers made off with a laptop that also contained projects from other Kalawa members that included Bulawayoa��s very own Diliza.
The deep voiced Kwaito lyricist, who is a member of the group Stiff, had earlier this year indicated that he was looking to release a solo album before the release of the three-man groupa��s solo project.

The albuma��s release was to coincide with his birthday celebrations this month.

However, now his plans appear to be in a shambles after DJ Clap fell victim to robbers last week. Although they are convenient, laptops are risky devices in which artistes can store their work, with many around the world complaining after they lose their work to thieves.

American rapper Kanye West claimed that his cousin had extorted him of $200 000 after he stole his laptop.

a�?I was working with DJ Clap of Uhuru when something terrible happened. He was robbed at gun point and all our projects, including the new stuff that they had been working on as Uhuru disappeared. So ita��s back to the drawing board for us and me in particular,a�? he said.

Diliza said that focus had subsequently shifted to his work with Stiff, with a new single featuring Professor, set for release this month.

The song is going to be released under the supervision of Oskido who posted a picture of a studio session featuring himself, Professor and the trio.

a�?We were in the studio with Oskido and Professor working on our single which you can expect in the next few weeks.

With all my stuff which I was working on I have no choice but to work on Stiffa��s material now,a�? he said.
