Guspy Warrior seeks YouTube breakthrough

Online Reporter

Dancehall chanter, Guspy Warrior, says he has been in the music industry for a long time, but can’t find a formula to drive his fame on YouTube.

The chanter, who began his career 15 years ago, has appealed for ideas from fellow artists and YouTubers to try and address his predicament

Guspy Warrior has more than 50 videos on the online video-sharing platform, but none has gone past the 50K mark in viewership, while his subscribers are still below 10K.

One local superstar, Jah Prayzah’s songs, Nziyo Yerudo and Dzamutsana, released five years ago, have over 12 million views and 626K subscribers.

The struggle to gain traction on YouTube is not unique to Guspy Warrior.

Many local artists face similar challenges in a crowded and competitive online space.

However, with perseverance and the right strategy, it’s possible to build a successful YouTube channel and reach a wider audience.
