dynamic midfield duo of Archie Gutu and Denver Mukamba being included in the squad for tomorrow’s game at Rufaro.
The Zimbabwe youth intentionals missed the last two league matches with Gutu being holed up in Europe where he was having trials in Sweden.
Mukamba picked up a red card in the league game against Chicken Inn in Bulawayo.
In the absence of the two creative midfielders, Dynamos have lost two matches in a row.
They lost the BancABC Sup8r semi-final to Motor Action before going down 1-0 to Blue Ribbon.
But Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa said the defeat against Blue Ribbon was now water under the bridge as he focuses on getting points against Mambas at Rufaro.
“Having suffered two losses, I think we have to redeem our lost pride through this match.
“We need to get a positive result against Black Mambas and from there, we can bounce back into contention for the league championship,” said Mutasa.
Mutasa has been getting a lot of support from the Dynamos fans, even during this difficult run, and the supporters warmly cheered their team despite the defeat to Blue Ribbon.
“I think we just have to keep the heat on the teams above us in the league.
“We just have to pick up as many points as possible,” said Mutasa.
The Dynamos coach hopes his charges will repay the faith shown by the supporters.
“The supporters were really behind us against Blue Ribbon and we need to repay their faith in us,” said Mutasa.
While it was sweet news that Mukamba and Gutu are back in the squad, there were still doubts over the availability of Cuthbert Malajila.
Malajila has been training with Dynamos since he fled from the civil unrest in Libya and had been expected to start turning out for the Glamour Boys in this second half.
“On Malajila, we have to put him on standby.
“When we thought the international clearance will be available, we were told by the administrators that there were some problems with the papers.
“So we just hope him as the ninetieth player,” said Mutasa.
He will certainly be missing midfielder Tawanda Muparati who has gone to try his luck with newly promoted South African Premiership side Black Leopards.
“Tawanda has gone to Black Leopards, because Mhofu wants to take a look at him.
“I am sure Mhofu knows how Tawanda plays, having seen him even from his days at Douglas Warriors.
‘So I think Mhofu is aware of what he is looking,” said Mutasa.
Veteran midfielders Desmond Maringwa and Murape Murape are also all but out of the game after sustaining injuries.
Mutasa hopes strikers Rodrick Mutuma and Martin Vengesayi will bring their shooting boots.
Defender David Kutyaruripo is still sidelined since picking an injury during the derby against CAPS last month.
“Diva has resumed training but we are still making an assessment of him.
“We will see how he will fare against Dstv Rangers in the warm-up match on Sunday,” said Mutasa.
Washington Arubi is certain to keep his position between the posts while Guthrie Zhokinyi and George Magariro provide cover.
Dynamos are missing Gift Bello and Devon Chafa who have accumulated three yellow cards, leaving Milton Makopa as an option.
Thomas Magorimbo or Timire Mamvura are options for the rightback while Gutu and Mukamba could be making a welcome return to the starting eleven.
In the reverse fixture, Gutu scored a brace while Mutuma also weighed in with a double as Dynamos ran 4-1 winners over the police side.
The police side are the underdogs in the game and have nothing to lose.
With a little bit of adventure, Black Mambas could be tricky customers for Dynamos.
Mambas also welcome defender Abbas Amidu who had attended trials with Gutu while the police side have Audience Rundofa.
Warumwa Warumwa also have Luckson Kaisa and Kasimero Chidzambwa as they hope to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat to Gunners in their last game.
In the other matches, CAPS United travel to Masvingo where Una Una coach Saul Chaminuka predicted a tough tie.
CAPS United are yet to win a match since they appointed Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe as coach.
The Green Machine will be without Evans Gwekwere and Nyasha Mukumbi who are suspended.
Gunners, who are having a revival under Moses Chunga face Shooting Stars at Lafarge.
Striker Leonard Fiyado has been scoring for fun at Chando Kupisa and Shooting Stars, who have signed Willard Manyatera will be aiming to halt Gunners from moving up again.
There is also an exciting clash at Gwanzura where Blue Ribbon meet Monomotapa.
Both teams are bubbling with confidence after their giants killing acts in the last games.
Blue Ribbon beat Dynamos 1-0 while Ronald “Rooney” Chitiyo inspired Monomotapa to a 3-0 destruction of CAPS United.
Dynamos have pegged the gate fee for the rest of the ground at US$2.
