Gwekwerere eyes Bosso

The fading Bulawayo giants were shy in front of goal, only managing 27 goals in 30 matches.
Their top goal scorer was Castle Lager Premiership Soccer Star of the Year finalist Graham Ncube who bagged seven goals.

Gwekwerere, who started his career at Dynamos where he earned himself the nickname “Earthquake” due to his strike rate, challenged Highlanders to come for his signature.
“Highlanders is a big club who I want to play for. I have seen the likes of Shutto (Stewart Murisa), Cuthbert Malajila and Ralph Matema among others doing well at that club.
“I also want to win things and I believe even if they did not have a great season, they are a good side that I want to play for. All what they have to do if they are interested in me is to come up with a good offer and I will not think twice,” said the former Warriors striker.

Gwekwerere was one of Caps United’s strikers and he played his heart out but the club failed to challenge for any silverware.
The Caps United striker might be a direct replacement to Graham Ncube who is club-hunting in South Africa.
Bosso on the other hand reached the BancABC Sup8r  Knockout final and won the Independence Cup, something that Gwekwerere believes are traits of a club hungry for    success.

Highlanders were let down by their finishing in the just-ended season and the technical department is likely to be looking for strikers during the off-season.
With the club’s chairman Themba Ndlela already on record that Bosso will not be conducting trials, it means the club might be ready to buy players to beef up their squad.

Apart from Gwekwerere, another player ready to rejoin Highlanders is Welcome “Waroowa” Ndiweni who spent the 2011 season at Masvingo United.
The diminutive midfielder said he had made his name at Masvingo United.

“I really enjoyed myself at Masvingo because I expressed myself to the best of my abilities. I got the game time that I could not get at Bosso and even attracted a number of clubs. I cannot rule out joining Highlanders because almost every player dreams of turning out for a big club one day and depending on what they offer, I can join them,” said Ndiweni.

Most clubs will be looking for players during the break to beef up their squads and the fading Bulawayo giants are among those that are expected to beef up their squads.
At Chicken Inn, Chronicle Sports is reliably informed that Philip Makanje, striker Never Musvipa and Thandazani “Malele” Ndlovu are among the five players that have been placed on the transfer list.
