Afro fusion trio band Gwevedzi who had taken a break from the music scene are set to mark their return with a new edition to their squad as they introduce Gwevedzi Redefined.

Following the departure of their lead singer Nyasha Murada who left to pursue a solo career the remaining members found Matalamanda a diamond in the rough.

In an interview the spokesperson for the band Tinashe Masangudza acknowledged that the gap left by Nyasha was huge but they have managed to fill it and move forward.

“His departure is something we cannot ignore, we felt that gap. Be that as it may we wish him well and the show must go on,” he said.

“We will work with Matalamanda in the same manner we did with Nyasha. She is family and we will treat her as such. We are excited to have her with us redefining the group.”

The band has been conducting various projects while distanced from the limelight and their return tonight marks a new beginning to their journey.
