The University of Zimbabwe law lecturer is jointly charged with Antoneta Choto (36), Tatenda Mombeyarara (29), Edson Chakuma (38), Hopewell Gumbo (32) and Welcome Zimuto (25).
Provincial magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini is presiding over the trial.

The six are being accused of trying to mobilise people to revolt against the Government the “Egyptian and Tunisian style”.
The videos showed the Egyptian and Tunisian Revolution. The court also had the opportunity to see the banners which were allegedly hanged in the meeting room and apparatus which were used to project the videos in question.

Mr Edmore Nyazamba produced the exhibits through an undercover policeman Detective Sergeant Jonathan Shoko who was at the meeting. The matter was deferred to tomorrow as the State witness Det Sgt Shoko was not feeling well.

The State is expected to lead further evidence from the star witness.
The State alleges that on February 19 this year the six urged participants at the meeting to mobilise the people of Zimbabwe to revolt against Government and demand the resignation of the President of Zimbabwe, the Egyptian way.

Mr Alec Muchadehama is representing for the six.
