Chris Muchatuta, vice-president of the Zimbabwe Gymnastics, yesterday said they were looking forward to a good show as he named a 36-member squad. The International gymnastics competition has been scheduled for July 10 to 14 at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. All the preparations are going on well and we have reached an advanced stage where we have done our final selection of the gymnasts to represent the country at the tournament,” said Muchatuta.
“We have selected our best gymnasts and we believe they will do well although there is a lot of competition.
“All the gymnasts have been training for this competition since last year
“We have a number of tournaments and most our participants will use this opportunity as their final preparations for the World for Life Challenge competition. “The Mashonaland Inter-Schools and the pre-nationals will be held soon and the gymnasts are looking forward to this.”
