HAB track and field championships set for Saturday

HARARE Athletic Board will on Saturday hold their track and field championships at the National Sports Stadium.

The competition will take place at the B Arena and will cater for Under-14s, Under-16s, Under-18s, Under-20s and Seniors.

For track events, participants will compete in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1 500m, 3 000m for women, 5 000m for men and 4x100m relay.

Field events on offer include long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus and javelin.

The provincial board said the meet is a platform to prepare for 2023 events which include local competitions such as NAPH and NASH championships, ZTISU Championships, national championships as well as regional and continental competitions.
