BULAWAYO-based handball teams are set to battle it out in the second edition of the Blissmass Handball Academy Clubs tournament set for Northlea High School and United College of Education (UCE) over the weekend.

Blissmass Handball Academy chairman Stewart Sanhewe said the two-day competition is targeting players in the age group of 16 and under.

He said preparations are underway to make the competition a success.

“Everything is on track and so far we have 12 teams that have confirmed their participation.

“We expect over 20 teams and as the academy we are calling upon teams to come and be part of this event.

“The competition is meant to promote the sport in the city as well as to nurture talent at grassroots level,” said Sanhewe.

Sanhewe added that there will be prizes to be won by the best teams as well as some individual honours. — @khumzallen
