Harare businessman and ZANU PF Harare Province Secretary for ICT, Cde Cosmos Mushininga, has donated laptops and WiFi equipment worth US$12,000 aimed at boosting digital skills within the party.

The donation, which includes state-of-the-art laptops and a WiFi kit, is aimed at accelerating the digitalisation of party structures and enhancing youth participation in information and communication technologies.

“This initiative is part of our broader drive to empower young people with the tools they need to participate in the digital economy and advance the party’s restructuring processes,” he said.

“We are not only building the party digitally, but we are also giving these young people the means to create livelihoods through ICT.”

The laptops are expected to assist in the ongoing cell restructuring exercise, as the party modernises its administrative systems and builds digital capacity at grassroots levels.

“These laptops will play a critical role in the cell restructuring exercise as we modernise our systems and ensure every party structure is digitally connected,” he said.

“Our goal is to build digital capacity at the grassroots level, making sure that our administrative processes are more efficient and aligned with the demands of a modern political organisation.”

The initiative aligns with the ruling party’s broader empowerment agenda, which includes capacitating citizens to start businesses and acquire self-sustaining skills in line with Vision 2030.
