Harare City demotes Samanja, Nyamandwe

ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League side Harare City Football Club has demoted assistant coaches Tendai Samanja and Tawanda Nyamandwe to their junior team, the Harare City Cubs.

The duo was dropped from the bench as the club prepares to enter a crucial phase in the fight for promotion back into the Castle Lager Premiership.

Harare City are currently third in the championship race with 38 points from 19 games.

They are three points adrift of log leaders Black Rhinos as the season shifts to the second half of the campaign.

The Sunshine Boys’ quest suffered a knock when they lost 0-1 to Trojan Stars in their last outing.

“We are grateful for their contributions to our first team’s success and appreciate their willingness to share their expertise and experience with our young players,” Harare City Football Club said in a statement.

“The move is part of our club’s commitment to developing our youth talent and ensuring a strong foundation for our future. We are confident that their guidance will have a positive impact on our junior team’s growth and development.”
