Harare City in clinic expansion drive

Harare City Council has budgeted $400 000 for the construction and expansion of hospitals and clinics, chairperson of the finance and development committee councillor Tranos Moyo has said.

Presenting the 2016 budget at Town House recently, Clr Moyo said with this budget, council was looking forward to constructing new clinics in Caledonia, Hopley and Glen Norah.

He said the Mabvuku, Highlands, Waterfalls and Kuwadzana Polyclinics were earmarked for expansion.

“In an effort to bring comprehensive health care closer to the residents, the department of health has embarked on the expansion of a number of polyclinics and to this end, $400 000 has been provided in the 2016 budget,” said Clr Moyo.
