Some parts of Harare and its satellite towns might face water shortages over the weekend owing to an electrical fault that developed at Warren Control Pump Station at around 11am yesterday, Harare City Council has said.
Principal communications officer Mr Michael Chideme told The Herald that residents should be patient with the city fathers as electrical engineers and those from ZETDC were making efforts to rectify the problem.
“Harare residents are likely to face a dry weekend if the electrical fault is not rectified in time. Our electrical engineers and those from ZETDC are working tirelessly to resolve the problem,” he said.
Mr Chideme said water supplies from Morton Jaffray Water Works to the Warren Control Pump Station maybe interrupted until the problem was fixed.
