Nomore Chidzodo, who is at odds with his former wife, Maria Nyandoro, said that’s all he could afford.

“My offer is $20 000, which is the only amount I can afford to give her.

“I am not working, but I earn $40 000 per month from doing menial jobs here and there.

“I also have another child who is staying in the rural areas,” he said.

Nyandoro told the court that Chidzodo works at Makombe Building.

“He is lying, he works at Makombe Building. I do not accept his offer because the money is not enough,” she said.

Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini ordered Chidzodo to pay $30 000 maintenance, school fees and to buy uniforms and clothes twice a year.
