Harare Province war veterans rally behind President

Cde Hillary Maphosa said Zimbabweans should uphold the recent ruling by the Constitutional Court.

“As Harare province War Veterans Association, we are in full support of President Mugabe and the ruling by the Constitutional Court. We are ready for the elections therefore we shall stand alert to ensure that the gains of the revolutionary struggle are guarded.

“The elections must go ahead and we are going to ensure that the country does not fall into the wrong hands,” he said.
Cde Maphosa accused MDC-T leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai of wanting to delay the elections beyond July 31 as was ordered by the Constitutional Court.

“We have been reading papers and observed that the opposition parties especially MDC-T do not want this country to be peaceful.
“Tsvangirai is trying by all means to stop the elections.

“What is MDC-T doing by trying to go against the ruling of the Constitutional Court? To us President Mugabe is the custodian of the supreme law of this country.”
