Harare school girl releases good collection

A HATCLIFFE High School Form Four student Stella Nyabanga has taken the showbiz by storm with her mature-laden singles which have stolen the hearts of many music fans. Known as “Talia”, the urban groove artiste is currently riding on the crest of the wave with her latest single titled “Let me know” which has become a hit with music lovers.The talented teenager has so far released five singles in a carrier spanning two years having

broken into the market in 2014

with her maiden track “Ndokuda” which was well received on the market.

In an interview, ‘Talia’ said she was aiming for the stars and her wish was to make urban grooves the in-thing once again.

“I have always been a fan of the urban groove music. It soothes my soul and when I decided to venture into music, my choice was easy although I was tempted to try my hand in Zimdancehall.

“It is my desire to revive urban grooves. Growing up in Borrowdale, we used to listen to this type of music and it is my wish to make it big in showbiz.

“At the moment I am busy preparing for the examinations but once I am done I intend to do music full time,” she said.

The 17-year-old is also working on the video for “Let me know” which she said will be ready for the market by month-end.

“I will also be doing videos for four other singles under my belt in the near future,” she said.

The Hatcliffe musician said she was inspired by Sani Makhalima and other singles she has recorded up to date include; “Tell me”, “I love you” and “Unondidarirei”.

Urban grooves once dominated the market at the turn of the millennium with the likes of Nasty Trix, Masikiri, Rocqui, Plaxedes Wenyika and Leonard Mapfumo leading an array of artistes who made it big during those days.
