PREPARATIONS for the 105th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show are progressing well with the event focusing on climate change that has negatively affected the agricultural sector.
The show is a platform for local, regional and international exhibitors involved in different forms of agriculture to showcase their products and services to potential buyers.
The event, which is running under the theme: Enhancing Agricultural Productivity: Managing Climate Change, will run from August 24 to 29.
Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Society public relations officer, Ms Heather Madombwe on Wednesday said 340 exhibitors had registered and the exercise was ongoing.
“Preparations have started and some companies have already begun working on their stands. We have 340 exhibitors who have registered compared to 398 exhibitors the same period last year. We are coming from a long holiday and we hope by end of this week we would have finalised on exhibits.
“This year’s theme, “Enhancing Agricultural Productivity: Managing Climate Change is timely and appropriate. The focus is on facilitating and promoting agricultural development in Zimbabwe.
‘’There will be several seminars and group discussions on different agricultural topics such as conservation tillage, climate mitigation, horticulture and animal production, among others,” she said.
