THE City of Harare has completed emergency works at Morton Jaffray Water Treatment Works and Warren Control Pump Station following a partial shutdown of the former and a total shutdown of the latter.
The shutdowns were undertaken to allow urgent repairs to leaks and cleaning of reservoirs at both facilities.
In a notice, City of Harare spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama said water distribution had since been restored, with residents expected to start receiving supplies from this morning.
He, however, said full restoration would take some time as the distribution pipes had dried up during the shutdown.
Mr Gama thanked residents and stakeholders for their patience and cooperation during the maintenance period.
