Has Adele ‘stolen’ Turkish tune?

ADELE has been accused of stealing a new ballad from a dead Turkish musician. The 27-year-old star released ballad Million Years Ago on her third album 25 last month but fans of the late Kurdish-Turkish singer Ahmet Kaya claim the track is remarkably similar to his 1985 song Acilara Tutunmak (Clinging to Pain).

A comparison of the two songs has since been uploaded online but many fans can’t seem to hear any similarities between that of the superstar and Ahmet, who died as an exile in Paris in 2000.

One commenter wrote: “Both are generic as f**k, there are literally hundreds other songs that sound just like that.”

Another said: “similar chords, similar tempo but both completely different songs! There are thousands of songs that resolve in plagiarism and this is not one.”

However, others do seem to think they sound suspiciously similar.

One wrote: “wow….I am an Adele’s fan but that was way too similar to be a coincidence….” — The Sun.
