A GWERU family haunted by mysterious fires has abandoned its home following fresh strange happenings.
The family now says eggs are falling from the roof.
The “mysterious eggs”, which are said to be breaking and messing the floor, are confined to the bedroom of the two-roomed house, Number 1225/2 Mkoba Village 13. Mum-of-four Mrs Beatrice Lunga (56) said they have since sought refuge at their neighbour’s home.
“Last week it was some fires which would break out at different intervals, destroying all our property,” she told Chronicle.
“Last night, we were sleeping with my husband (Mr Philip Lunga) when we heard sounds of something fragile falling and breaking on the floor. When we lit a candle, we realised that they were eggs which were falling from the roof and it was a mess with egg shells all over the floor,” she said.
Mrs Lunga said the mysterious eggs were falling at different intervals messing the entire bedroom floor.
She said what was frightening was that there was not even a crack on the roof and the origins of the eggs remained a mystery.
“We’re now stranded and appeal to anyone who might assist us to end these mysterious happenings to contact us on my mobile phone 077 5931 649. We bought this house in 1978 and we have been staying here and never experienced such a mystery,” she said.
Mysterious fires rocked Mrs Lunga’s house last week destroying clothes and blankets.
The fires, which had been tormenting the family, only stopped on Monday.
Mrs Lunga and her husband are members of the Assemblies of God Ministries Church.
The two are not employed and three of their children live in South Africa.
