HCM Festival to usher music lovers into festive season

The festive season has begun and people are now in the mood to engage in festivities.

Fun lovers enjoy this time of the year as they are spoilt with several gigs. And this year, they have more reasons to cheer up as they will be able to party till the wee hours since lockdown measures have been eased.

Opening the festive season this weekend is the much-anticipated HCM Festival in Bulawayo which will see locals being treated to performances from top South African and Zimbabwean acts on Sunday.

Among these are South Africans – DJ Tira, Master KG, Dladla Mshunqisi and Amaroto and locals, Winky D, Jah Signal, Mzoe 7, King 98 and DJs Mzoe, Yona and Mufali.

The festival is taking place at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair’s Hall 4.

One of the event’s organisers, Dee Nosh said preparations are going on well with all necessities to make the festival a fruitful one, having been attended.

“Everything has turned out amazing and all the artistes are ready to rock the stage. On top of everything, we’ve added more prominent performers to our list in the form of King 98, Ben Chest and Ezra “Tshisa” Sibanda,” said Dee Nosh.

He said they have sold 1 000 advance tickets so far, indicating that the event is likely going to be sold out.

“Advance tickets have been selling quickly and we’re confident that this gig is one that’s going to usher revellers into the festive season. Performing artistes were carefully selected as we really wanted the event to be special.”

“The momentum has built up and we certainly cannot wait to present this show,” Dee Nosh said.

The performing artistes have since released video drops confirming their presence at the show that has become the talk of the town.
