Al Action will be seeking to continue with their fine run in their upcoming match against Mt Hope this coming weekend in the Victory Group Harare Christian Soccer League.
AIA played to a one-all draw against log leaders PAOZ JCC.
AIA head coach Tafadzwa Muramba says the match was a tough one.
“It was a tough game. We, fortunately, managed to play as a team. For us, it was an exciting match. There was a good football display from both sides.
“At the same time, it turned out to be a learning process for us both the players and the coaches.
“So actually we are all super excited about how we matched the big boys who are in the title race. Mind you we are still new to the league and we are trying to build a foundation. We feel it’s too early for us to be compared with the big boys.
“Our boys have shown courage in recent matches. They have stood their ground against the top giants. We are humbled by that but we have to be clear that the resilience we have shown doesn’t turn us into a big team. We are still learning.
Muramba is looking to have a good game against Mt Hope this coming weekend.
“This coming weekend we are playing Mt Hope. We will take the game seriously just like any other game.
“I hope our guys will be ready for the match as their character will be tested once again.
“As a team, we are not worried about losing the match as our league goes beyond the normal football victories which are through ministering the word of Christ which is my utmost desire.
“Compared to when we started our team has improved in a number of aspects. We hope the players will remain consistent and keep working as a team.
Mt Hope head coach, Derrick Mawire says he is taking the game against AIA seriously as they have recently proved to be giant killers.
Ten-man Mt Hope managed to grab a 4-2 victory over PAOZ HCC and closed the gap between them and JCC to seven points.
“We have a game in hand and seven points behind the log leaders. That means we are taking every game seriously as we try to cover up the gap with JCC.
“They dropped points on the weekend and it puts us at an advantage to cover up some space.
“My guys are motivated from the last match. We managed to scrap the results despite playing for more than an hour with 10 men after one of our guys was shown his marching orders by the referee. We managed to score three goals when we were one man less. That’s what we want to carry in our next games.
