A HARARE woman yesterday dragged her ex-husband to court accusing him of sexual abuse.
Alice Ndirima applied for a protection order, against Trymore Bore, at the Harare Civil Court.
“We got married in June and he sent me away to my parents’ house in July, accusing me of prostitution.
“He then paid a token of divorce, but now comes to my parents’ house demanding sex. He is trying by all means to ensure my parents evict me so that I suffer on the streets,” said Alice.
In his defence, Trymore said: “I have never forced myself on her as she stated.
“We were cohabiting so when I found out that she was having extramarital affairs, I let her go. If I had raped her, she could have reported me to the police, but she never did, which means she is lying,” he said.
Magistrate Rutendo Machingura dismissed the application, for a protection order, for lack of merit.
