A WOMAN has told a court in Harare that her ex-husband comes to her workplace demanding that she must have sex with him.
She said when she refused, it almost ended her life. She also claimed that he once attempted to commit suicide shortly after he had assaulted her.
Natasha Tanganyiwa appeared before Harare Civil Court magistrate, Meenal Naratom, where she was seeking a protection order against Codia Sibanda.
The magistrate granted her the protection order. Natasha told the court that she was bashed after she refused to have sex with him.
“He is in the habit of coming to my workplace demanding sex and I refused and he assaulted me,” she said.
“He hit me against the wall and I collapsed. When he saw that I had collapsed, he attempted to commit suicide.
“My neighbours came to rescue him.”
Codia did not deny the allegations raised and even claimed that he loves his ex-wife.
“I have no issues with the court granting her an order but l still love her.”
