‘He only wanted his intimate turn’

Court Reporter
In a bizarre incident, a Harare man reportedly caught his girlfriend being intimate with another man in his bedroom and demanded his chance in bed with her, the Civil Court heard yesterday.

Ruth Simon claimed Clive Tawanda only asked for his chance to be intimate with her after he caught her red-handed in bed with another man.

Simon had been taken to court by Tawanda who was seeking a protection order against her.

“Tawanda told magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza that he tried to discourage Simon from taking alcohol to no avail.

“I once caught her being intimate with another man in my bedroom, but I never lifted a finger on her,” said Tawanda.

He said he fell in love with Simon when they met at a beerhall in Tafara.

Simon denied the allegations levelled against her by Tawanda saying they exchanged insults and sometimes fought.

“Yes, he caught me being intimate with another man and demanded to have his own turn. After that we discussed the issue amicably and he told me that he had forgiven me,” said Simon.

Mr Nyatsanza granted the order in Tawanda’s favour which barred Simon from verbally or physically abusing him.
