A KWEKWE Primary school teacher has approached the Civil Court seeking a peace order against a 35-year-old man, who claimed to have been sodomised by him.

Joy Chirenjani said he is living in fear after Mike Dube threatened to “deal with him.”

Chirenjani attached the threatening messages to his court application.

“The respondent has been threatening to deal with me after I failed to pay him the money he was demanding from me,” said Chirenjani.

He claimed Dube has been blackmailing him following his failure to pay US$150 for some medication to cure his sexual-related illness.

“I came to know about the respondent when I was searching for someone to help me with my sexual condition because I have been facing some challenges with my manhood and the respondent claimed that he knows the medicine that I can use to solve the problem.

“He charged US$150 and I paid part of the money and he started demanding as well as threatening and blackmailing me, ” said Chirenjani.

However, Dube denied the accusations and said he was the victim.

“I did not threaten him, but I just warned him to stop referring gays to me claiming that I am a homosexual.

“I am the victim here because he drugged me and raped me in a bush.

“I kept quiet all along because he has pleaded for forgiveness, but what angered me is the fact that he started distributing my number to some gays,” he said.

Based on the threatening messages produced by the applicant, to substantiate his application, Magistrate Mildred Matuvi granted the peace order in favour of Chirenjani.

The court ordered Dube not to threaten the applicant, verbally abuse him and to desist from visiting his work place or his home.
