A HARARE woman has been granted a protection order against her husband whom she accuses of verbal and physical abuse.
Talent Dorena told the court that her husband, Custom Nyamukamba, was of a violent nature who neglected his duties as a father.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted her the protection order.
‘‘He threatens me with a knife and screwdriver then goes around telling people that l am a prostitute. He even promised to place a hit on me. l am tired of being his slave, and all l want is peace Your Worship.
‘‘When the kids ask for school fees, and stationary money, he shouts at them.
‘‘They’re now even scared to ask for anything from their father,” she said.
Custom denied the allegations saying it was actually Talent who was violent.
‘‘She is lying, we no longer stay together. How can l assault her when we don’t stay together? I still love her but she moved out of our matrimonial home, meaning she is staying with another man now.’’
