He trains my hands for warfare

GREETINGS, beloved nation. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 says, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please Him who enlisted him as a soldier.”

Battles and wars should be our language as intercessors, watchers, and believers in the body of Christ. If we do not understand warfare as intercessors and believers, we will not prevail in these end times.

There are gates that we need to possess. These gates represent many things within the body of Christ. Unfortunately, the body of Christ has shunned warfare because of the pressure to acquire material things. Let me point out that war did not start on earth, it started in Heaven.

So, if there was war in Heaven, we must prepare ourselves for war on earth because the prince of this world was cast into the earthly realm. There are gates we need to pass through and at these gates, there are demonic gatekeepers who jealously guard them so that God’s people will not have access.

In Heaven, there are gates and on earth, there are gates. In Genesis 6:2, the Bible tells us, “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.” We see that the sons of God were fallen angels, and I want you to note that they were called the sons of God. They polluted the daughters of men and remember that their pollution also contaminated the land.

Certain demonic technologies were introduced that caused the land to come under bondage. They started to introduce strange things that caused creation to begin to fight mankind. It will take the true sons of God — meaning you and me — to redeem creation from this bondage.

Romans 8:19 tells us, “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” Creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God because creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly. It will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

There is a contention between darkness and light. A generation of believers is being raised who understand warfare — people who know how to use the elements of the universe to fight their spiritual battles.

The Bible says in Judges 5:20, “They fought from Heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.”
This shows a woman who understood an advanced level of warfare. Revelation 12:16 also states, “But the earth helped the woman and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.”

Here, we see how the earth assisted the woman by opening its mouth to swallow the flood trying to sweep her away. As believers, we should understand strategic warfare as intercessors dealing with various gates — such as political gates, family gates, ministry gates, financial gates and city gates.

We must also understand prophetic prayer to gain mastery. The Bible indicates that Jesus would possess certain cities — some through rejoicing and others by entering quietly.

Rejoicing is another weapon of war and silence is also a powerful weapon. The Lord has given many weapons to the body of Christ through His wisdom.

Joshua 6:20 says, “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets; and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him and they took the city.”

The walls of Jericho fell because of a great shout. Dancing is also a weapon of warfare — prophetic dance through intercession. May the Holy Spirit show us the right weapons so that we do not pray amiss.

I recall a time I faced a financial challenge — a spiritual battle. During prayer, I was led to dance for three hours. After that, there was a flood of financial breakthroughs.

In 2 Timothy 2:3, Paul instructs Timothy, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” He emphasises “endure hardship,” which requires patience, faith and hope.

We know hardships are temporary and they are not worth comparing to the glory that awaits us. Paul also calls us “a good soldier,” implying that there are bad soldiers. So, which are you — good or bad? A good soldier adheres to the military code and training.

A bad soldier commits treason. Many intercessors have committed treason in the spiritual realm — they have given up and gone back to their beds, enjoying slumber and complacency. The Bible says in 2 Samuel 11:1-2 that, when kings were supposed to go to war, David, as king, was found on the rooftop and saw Bathsheba.

When we ignore warfare as believers, we risk finding ourselves on the rooftop, observing things we shouldn’t see. Similarly, Peter saw a vision on the rooftop and David saw Bathsheba.

Know that you are wearing combat gear. Some believers have become civilians, which is why you only know what is happening in the church or nation. Return to the barracks, to the land of Tob, to the cave of Adullam and to the wilderness. The season for prayer must be revived because darkness is fighting the church of the living God.

It’s time for us to manifest and correct the rebellion of the sons of God and what they did to creation. I invite you now to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that

He is your Lord. If you do so, you shall be saved.

May God bless you all.
