THE headmaster of a school in Lupane sought treatment from a local sangoma after a goblin attack.
The school shut down on Monday after teachers fled while the line last of defence, the headmaster, became a victim.
The terrorising goblins are said to have sexually abused both female and male teachers at Luhumbe Primary School in ward 21, and also beat them up.
Sources who spoke to media said the headmaster who is continuously nose bleeding had to be ferried to one sangoma’s home, where he is being treated.
Other teachers are said to have spent the whole day at the district education offices on Tuesday, as they made the report, before they headed to their homes and vowed not to come back until the school was peaceful.
The area chief, Mabhikwa, said he was informed of the matter and was yet to meet other community leaders.
“Currently I’m out of the district but will meet with other community leaders and find solutions to the matter,” he said.
He added:
“For the school to be shut down again is a serious disturbance to teachers and so we will make sure a solution is quickly found.”
Lupane District Administrator Zachariah Jusa received the report on the closure of the school but without much detail.
“I am yet to receive full details of what is happening at the school. Relevant departments are on the ground to investigate in the best way they can,” he said.
