Hectic month for Bulawayo Athletics Board

Mandla Moyo, Sports Reporter

A HECTIC month is ahead of the Bulawayo Athletics Board (Bab) who are set to host a number of races in November starting with the NRZ Rail-Trail Annual Charity Half Marathon scheduled for the first week of the month.

Manuel Mpofu, the Bab chairman said they were however, not overwhelmed at all by the task at hand as they have proven time and again that they can deliver when called to task.

“In as much as there will be a number of races in November we deliberately did that because we know that we have the capacity to hold them successfully,” said Mpofu.

According to Mpofu, registration for the 10km Hope Fountain road race is now on and all interested athletes can now collect the registration forms. Bab are also hosting the Track and Field Championships on 24 November BAB at White City Stadium. The Liquor Hub Fun Run will bring down the curtain on the 2019 athletics calendar which commenced in January running a full year inclusive of international as well as regional events.
