Zimbabwe Cricket will announce the full fixtures in a few weeks but hinted that the local calendar starts in early October.
Zimbabwe’s domestic cricket mainly features three tournaments and five franchises take part in all formats –the first-class completion the Castle Logan Cup, The Coca-cola Pro 50 (one-day tournament) and the Stanbic Bank 20 series.
But, now, there will be a weekly Twenty20 competition.
“This year, in addition to the Stanbic 20 series, there will be a T20 running with the one dayers,” said ZC’s head of media and communication, Shingai Rhuhwaya.
